Sponsoring a Nascar? Interested?

My friend's looking for a major sponsor for his car. He has this really cool concept for the porn industy. Also, the driver is one of the favorites for 2007.

There would be a minimum of 10 races all over the states and Canada, that's incredible visibility, plus, depending on where the race takes place, he'd like to have some of the girls present to promote the company and/or their web site...

I personally think the idea is great because the races will be televised, men attend these events, the Nascar audience target is pretty much the same as porn's target audience... Visibility to millions... It would be a first, new, shocking and totally different...

Hey wait a minute. I think I have heard this pitch before, but quite awhile ago. I don't remember the guy's name, but a racecar driver approached me back in 2000 during the IA 2000 show in New Orleans. Some kind of rally car race, but I can't remember the details.

Back then I thought it was a bit of a crazy idea. I don't know about now though since a lot of porn has gone mainstream.

Well, apparently, the guy who spoke to you didn't go through with it because it hasn't been done yet.

The difference between the guy you spoke to and my friend, is that I actually KNOW the guy... My friend is an incredible salesman and he has wanted to get involved with the porn industry for a long time and the owners of the Nascar are super interested in his concept.

Also, I forgot to say this... Rallys aren't as popular as Nascar races... Like I said before, the visibility would be incredible! Plus the girls would get to go to the races, etc...

I would be VERY surprised if NASCAR didn't put the kabosh on any adult porn site/program whatever advertising.

Yeah I doubt NASCAR would put any kind of adult oriented advertising material on any of their race cars.

Well I think a company like Playboy would be approved since they are a mainstream brand, possibly Penthouse. I don't think "Gapingassholes.com" would be considered.

NASCAR is extremely popular in the southern bible belt states, they love their Mommas and they love their Jesus even more so I'm sure the criteria would be somewhat stringent.

But hey if it works out all the power to it and it would be great to see and great exposure.

I doubt that "Gapingassholes.com" would be approved but another domain that links to whatever would be as long as the domain is "acceptable"... Like instead of "www.angeliquexxx.com" (my best friend's web site) she could get like "www.sexyangelique.com" and redirect it to her regular site or the company she's with "www.4realmedia.com" would be accepted, no doubt about it...

Porn is never going to get the okay to sponsor Nascar. Nascar is family entertainment.
