Whats in a domain?? with out traffic or a clear "type in" for the average surfer.. I'de say not much more than the cost of transfer.
I just bought some wicked domains that were avail..and I got these for 12 bucks!!!

Not really in to domain names business, but here is my husbands two cents.
All true, one word domains such a sex.com, pussy.com legs.com etc.. are taken long time ago. All others in my opinion are worth only as much as traffic they are getting. I would rather buy sdymxz.com with 500 hits a day than coolsexygirls.com without any hits (by the way not taken yet, go and grab it)

I'm just pointing this out because I know they were not worth anywhere near that much :^))
And Im very happy I picked up PornDaddy.com instead of xshjg.com
I think branding is important, but I do understand your point

As far as I'm concerned it's better to have a domain that's easy to remember and easy to spell. Even if it's longer. For instance I would rather have montrealfacials.com than montrealbukkake.com because bukkake is probably one of the most mispelled words on the net, lol. If i had montrealbukkake I'd probably register bukake and bukakke too.c

Well that is true if you are buying fresh not registered domain. Of course you will register something that make sense.
My comment was on already registered domains that are out for sale.
If someone is offering me montrealfacials.com without any traffic on for 500$ and xwuysh.com with decent traffic for the same price I would still go for other one. Probably register montreal-facials.com and make it as second entrance to already working web site !
