Ok, this is one of my little epiphanies that happen so often.

Here I am explaining to someone how our calendar is f'ed up... it should be 13 months of 28 days, not 12 months of 30,31, leap years etc... only makes sense, it ties into the moons rotation etc... someone f'ed up way back in time and now we are stuck with it.

Then I start to think about things.. (no, not pot induced this time) and I start to think about sperm, eggs etc...and it just goes on...

To make this short and sweet...

A woman has approximately 42 years of fertility. Which would give us 42 yrs X 13 Cycles = 546 potential Eggs

take 546 and divide it by 9 (female human pregnancy cycle) and your answer will be 66.6

So...

The female human, being able to produce a life every 9 months, potentially 13 times per year over a 42 year period

2 numbers that stick out: 66.6 and 13

Both 13 and 666 were numbers made up by or created by The Church.

666 they made up in the Book of Revelations.

13 is an unlucky number because of Friday the 13th. Ok, which Friday the 13th? ... Why, the one where one of the evil Pope du jour got together with an evil French lord or prince or king or something, and both jealous of the great amounts of money the Knights Templar had -- some suspect the French guy wanted the money and the Templars had proof of the Sang Real Jesus bloodline lineage which the Pope wanted destroyed, but I digress -- viciously slaughtered every Templar they could find on "a" Friday the 13th sometime during the 14th century.

those numbers are urban legends given mystic by Hollywood and certain religious groups. 13 was the amount of apostles at the last supper if you include Jesus in the mix so does that make them devil worshippers?

- 666 in revelation is not that easy of a number to just come up with and was only meant to be the sign of the beast - not that anything else carrying that symbol is wrong. I mean what if i wrote out a check to my local church for $666.13 = you think they are going to turn it down?

but

I'm too damned old to get involved in yet another "women are the devil" conversation. Been there, done that, escaped felony conviction....

I had a lengthy and enjoyable conversation with a guy from the phone company years ago with regards to our new phone number. He asked me if the number to be assigned was "all right." "Huh?" I asked. "Why would I care?" Oh, my goodness, do some people indeed care about the numbers of their phone number. He had one customer that went through several prospective numbers before her numerologist (or whatever) signed off on it. My only request was "got anything that's easy to remember?"

The beginning of every year my kids check the calendar for Friday the 13th, because we consider it a lucky day. (A sort of "spit-in-the-eye" stubborness may be involved there.)

I do twitch when I see the number "666" and can't for the life of me figure out why. A very dear friend has it in her street address and I think of that every time I write to her.

Hollywood has screwed most of these things up. B-movies can never get what is and is not a satanic symbol right. I yell at the television a lot.

Stupidityy reigns. One of my daughters once got in trouble for the "satanic symbol" she was allegedly wearing. It was, in fact, an Egyptian ankh, the symbol of life and as "unsatanic" as one could get.

Don't get me started on The Vatican!! Did you ever notice that in all of the attacks on The DaVinci code they almost solely focus on the claim about Mary Magledine rather than all of the other damning stuff about ripping off symbols from otehr religions, voting on how to present their religion to the world, etc. etc. There is a REASON they chose to focus their anger at that aspect rather than all of the other stuff.
