yeah, that and the Loonie is gaining ground, bit by bit.
Was funny, the gov't takes flack for so long that the $ is not worth nuthin... and now it's picking up and people get mad at the gov't.
We're gonna lose so much income, cause the US can pay Canadians cheaper, and buy stuff here... cause their $ is worth so much more.
If it balances out.... then... why would the US need to spend their money here?

When I started cashing my first cheques from this business the US dollaar was worth $1.46 Cdn. To me, anything over that is gravy, but I can see where it sucks for us Canadians seeing the value drop from $1.60 down to what it is now.
Actually, at one point it hit $1.62, and on that day I just happened to shift a few grand from my US account to my Cdn savings account. That was....sweet.
I remember back in the early 70's, when the Cdn dollar was worth $1.10 US. When vacationing in the States, my mom would send me to exchange a dollar for her, and she'd always let me keep that extra dime. That was heaven.

The Pacific Peso is not much chop either.
2 years ago I was getting AUD 2.05 for UDS 1.
Banked 7K last thursday @ AUD 1.69 & today its AUD 1.65.
The currency is well over inflated, but the international movers & shakers will be soon be getting in for the kill, then it will drop to 52 cents approx. where it belongs.
The other strong point in our favour is while our fool of a PM is posturing on the world stage the AU economy is faltering & the drought isn't helping much either.
The economy will start loosing steam soon.
Roll on the good times !

I remeber those days down in Fargo or Grand Forks.
Went through the same thing. Used to use the extra money to play pinball.

I remember the good old days of going across the border to Montana and everyplace from the border down to Great Falls accepted Canadian money at par. Those days are long gone though. And now that I get checks in US bucks I want them to STAY long gone dammit!

The Swiss Franc is too stable... you know, we live mainly off exports... 2 years ago it was USD 1 : CHF 1.80... now it's like USD 1 : CHF 1.45
It really sux! The national bank should print more money and produce a weaker Swiss Franc. The export will benefit from it and I will also!
