Why do groceries stores and kid friendly stores put the scary looking Halloween shit outside their store! There was a "Jason" human size with a plastic knife and music, well needless to say Ryan refused to go in and freaked out. What confuses me is that this IGA usually offers pony rides and little train rides...WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?! Anyway "Jason" is gone, I guess I'm not the only parent that had an issue with it. Ryan is at an age where he is very easily impressed by these things.

It was probably implemented by someone who either doesn't have children or doesn't have young children.

Probably the same people that think its funny to jump out and scream at little kids when they are at a "family friendly" haunted attraction. I was at a Halloween hayride with my kids years ago that specified that before 9pm the hayrides were "young children" friendly. It was fine until the jackass high school kid who apparantly cant tell time jumped out with a bloody chainsaw!

funny I was thinking the same thing just the other day .. I went to a "Village des Valeurs"" to look at the Halloween costums (damn they got some real good ones very very cheap) ... I found most of the costume for kids to be .. well very scary .. lots of Freddy's, and Michael's .. I thought those were Horror film characters from our days ?

Same goes to the torture movies coming out every week these days. I don't have a problem with them existing, I respect SAW for what it is, but it belongs in a more underground market. I don't want to see a poster for HOSTEL on buses and especially not on tv.
