Question NEW IN HERE!! =]

To keep it short, sweet & on the prize...

Maybe it is just me, but I am more then sure that almost all of you, when started in the adult industry thought that YOU will be the one who will change porn industry, YOU will be the one who will come up with something original, YOU will be the one who will make sooo much money! But then when reality hits you, and you gain SO much more respect to all those people in adult industry and you realize how much work they had to go through to achieve on where they are now... -- Ye...

I read articles, stories, threads, tips, etc.

I got a few questions though... (I am just reading up on stuff, not hurrying on anything... I want to do it .. RIGHT)

First of all, if I will be starting this (hopefully...) I am not doing it mostlly for money, I just... want to make profit, I mostlly want to do this to be a part of the industry, a part of an old old movement, to be invited to those 'industry parties', etc. Then I will start worrieng about making a LARGER PROFIT.

So to the questions...

1. I was going through other websites & such, and a person posted a FREE SITE & GALLERY that he/she made (http://www.nudecelebritties.com/tgp/...ndy/index.html)
Q1: How do you define a 'Free Site'? I've looked at some articles and they said that you need a Main Page, 2 Galleries & Ads (with a Warning page? Forgot.) Anywho... How does it work? EXAMPLE: A person goes on milfhunter, tells the guy that he will buy his content, put it on the 'Free Site' and if any member joins from the FREE SITE the person who made the FREE SITE will get a profit? Is that how it works? How much is a profit? 50%? And is 50% from the FIRST sale? Or on Monthlly basis...?

Q2: Are you... SHITTING ME? Like is this what porn became? Some cheap ass websites like that with NO DESIGN, and it sells? Or am I missing something out?

Q3: How do those 'LIVE WEBCAM' things work? You open up a company, if a girls wants to join she gets a free webcam & shit, then when ever the person wants to see her naked, he pays some $ and she gets 50% and you get 50%? How much do they usually charge for a minute or what not?

I got other questions, but I guess lets start with those ones =] See how things go!

Cheers!

I'm pretty new to this as well, but I think for a freesite, it is more about making money from sponsors and affiliates. You have to be careful when going out and buying content, a lot of places won't let you put their content on a free site, it must be a paysite. Freesites are just for traffic for other sites I think. You can make a lot of money if you know what you are doing. My thing is I don't want a free site, so it works differently. I might have jumped in too fast, which is one of my weaknesses. Do your research and ask people like Funbrunette, all the Chris's, The Legacy (he has good streaming content but for freesites only I think), and a few of the others. They are all seasoned pros and I assume they make a lot of money.

You need to research the laws regarding 2257 and models. You can't just hook up with a chick and record it to put on your website, that's how you get fined and jailtime I think. You need to be careful. Buying content is good, as long as you know where the 2257 custodian is if you don't get the rights to the content.

Dude, also, this is how internet porn has been for many years. The real money is in finding a niche that you are familiar with and one that you think can make you a lot of money. I mean, yeah, it's cool to be invited to the industry functions, but wouldn't it be better to be a player at that function? It's all about sales and how much you can sell.

Take teen porn for instance. If you do a search for teen porn, it'll take you 2 years to get through the whole list, and it is just growning. How many customers can you expect from teen porn? Probably not too many. Now let's look at, say, bagpiping. If you don't know what it is, it's basically fucking someones armpit. How many sites have you heard of that does this? My guess would be NONE. Now, if you research it, it is predominantly gay sex, but there is your opportunity. I'm pretty sure getting girls to let you fuck their armpits would be a lot easier than to do anal, and they could get a good laugh out of it too.

Ok, so maybe that isn't what you had in mind, but you get the idea. Find your direction and learn as much as you can about it. Don't rely soley on buying content. I'm sure there are plenty of girls (or guys) out there willing to do anything for a few bucks, just make sure they are of legal age (learn how to check ID's) and make sure they don't have any mental illness which would preclude them from making sane and safe decisions.

If you have more specific questions, go ahead and ask anyone.

Freesites are basically mini sites that are submitted to link lists. These mini sites are designed to get indexed in the search engines as well as promote your sponsor(s) so you can earn sales. Once you get indexed by the engines, you could make sales for a few months, a year, two years, or more off of a single freesite.

The basic structure of a freesite is;
  • Page 1: Warning page
This page has warning text, ads to the sponsor, a link to enter your free site, exit link (optional), and recips to other link lists.

    Page 2: Main page
This page has links to the sponsor and links to gallery 1 & 2. This is an ads page before your actual gallery pages that contain the content.

    Page 3: Gallery 1
This page is the first page of content. There are also links to your sponsor on this page. Some people add a link back to the main page, others don't.

    Page 4: Gallery 2
This page is the second page of content. There are also links to your sponsor on this page and link back to main page,(optional).
There are general guidelines to follow with the structure and rules to follow when building a freesite for submitting to link lists. Take the time to learn the different elements of a freesite and how they all work together to sell a surfer. Learn the rules the reviewers follow when considering a site for listing so you won't be rejected for violating a rule.

When building your freesite, you can use content and promo material (buttons, banners, or text) from your sponsor as long as you are advertising that sponsor.

Some people do use purchased content for freesites. With this content, they can advertise whatever sponsor(s) they choose as long as the content matches the site the affiliate is sending the surfer to. If you use purchased content, make sure you know what the license allows the content to be used for.

Freesites are rich with text. The text works for the engines, but should also be written to entice the surfer into clicking links to your sponsor. Talk to the surfer. Inform them. Get inside their heads. Feed the fantasy. Do this, and you will see your clicks to the sponsor rise.

When you promote a sponsor, you will earn a percentage of each sale you send to the sponsor. The two most common payout programs are;
  • RevShare (Revenue Sharing)
This means that you will earn a percentage, (50, 60, or 60+%), of the sale. You will also be paid each month that that sale stays a member, (rebills).

    PPS (Pay per Sign-up)
This means that you will be paid a one time flat fee for each sale that you send to the sponsor.
Some sponsors also offer payment for when a surfer enters their email address for more porn, payments on free trials, or pay per click.

Some of the most basic designs sell big time. A surfers basic desire is to orgasm. Catering to that desire comes in many styles and forms.

There's a delicate balance between finding the right design and teasing the surfer enough where they can't wait to join a site. Whether you build a pretty site, a mediocre site, or a downright ugly site, the basic elements of selling need to be there.

You can earn money from live cams different ways;
  • Become an affiliate to a company or companies that supplies live cam feeds. All you need to do is send surfers to the site. The surfer decides what he/she likes and then joins. A sponsor might pay for each join and others will pay based on the amount of time the surfer purchases.

Own your own webcam studio company.
Each cam sponsor has different rates and terms for payout. The rates are pretty competitive, but you have to look around, compare cam sponsors, and see which ones you like and think you can sell.

painful & PANKY thanks for your help!
See! This is what I like about the Adult Industry, everyone is polite to you, there are very little cocky pricks out there! Everyone is trying to help eachother!

1. Do you guys got any example of what a GOOD FREE SITE is compared to what a BAD FREE SITE is? & Let me see if I go it, lets say I go on a site, buy there contact, 20-30 pictures, upload it on my 'free site' (Which is obvioullsy paid for, but.. -- ye). And users who go to my free site, and activate there account through my site, I will get a certain % of the money? How does it work though? like.. Links wise? Lets say I am promoting milfhunter, and my website is ilikemilfsalot.com, and on that site I got the milfhunter ads, so wouldn't it go to milfhunter.com right away when the ad is clicked? so how would they know that they got THAT sale from MY site?

2. But what is your suggestion? First start with free sites for about a year or what not? Get to know the industry a little bit, the right key terms, how the money is spread, which company is good, which company is not & then start on your own stuff?

3. And lets say you want to do your own thing ,and you want to hire girls... Where do you get them? And what are the prices? Like Ive seen a lot of people here are from Montreal, and I am from Toronto (I was actually in MTL like... 5 days ago?) & for every time you shoot a video you have to get her ID, name, last name, etc, etc. And obviouslly you have to make sure that she is clean.. right? And so as he... So do you have to do an STD CHECK every time they are about to have sex?

I don't think you need to get the same girls ID every time, she isn't getting any younger, but you may want to get a contract with her every time so she can't sue you later for something. Same for guys, the guys can be little crying bitches too. Do some research on this stuff, there is a lot of info on legal issues for adult sites.

actually the feeds I have are for paysites NOT free sites - I think painful was thinking of our feeds that he uses on his paysites.

Panky has pretty much said most of what I could regarding free sites - and in your last questioning, you asked another 3 questions. I wont get into what I feel are the best free sites since honestly- there are way too many out there.. but I can help you with the last two.

you asked

2. But what is your suggestion? First start with free sites for about a year or what not? Get to know the industry a little bit, the right key terms, how the money is spread, which company is good, which company is not & then start on your own stuff?

there are some who have the time to start a few free sites to learn basic programming skills and networking, but soon become disillusioned because honestly there are so many damn free sites out there that you get lost. Not too mention that no one has brought up copyright infringements which you are going to have to watch for. large companies that we all trusted are suddenly being sued by the original content producers simply because their pictures/movies were never allowed to be used on free sites to begin with, they just did it on their own.

http://www.avnonline.com/index.php?P...tent_ID=276855

btw - falcon won their lawsuit and you can see now that pornkings is owned by tucker who owns falcon.

try doing free sites if you wish, but if you can start a paysite then you have the ability to create your own content and make some serious coin faster than if you went the free site route

So do you have to do an STD CHECK every time they are about to have sex?

oh god.. this is such a huge question and varied depending on location. best use a modelling agency and NOT strippers etc. putting ad's in papers in generally the best source but do not be exclusive to girls only since many papers dont want you to give the impression that you are biased.

and YES YES YES - always have all std's checked and presented at the time of the shoot. also make sure that you video tape them holding their ID up so that they can say on camera that they are not under any influence and agree to nudity etc. many times models can be pricks and come back saying they were unaware... it helps you in this case

That is not always true, the industry has it's share of assholes too just like any other industry out there, but yes for the most part many people who have knowledge and experience are willing to help. You just need to learn how to differentiate between those you should and should not take advice from. I can honestly say that Panky is definitely someone you can really learn a lot from. She is one of the honest and helpful webmasters who would never steer you in the wrong direction and has lots of great advice.

Anyhow, good luck with everything and welcome to the board!!
