Any Alberta Canada Webmasters or content People out there ?

I'm trying to collect information on an alberta company that just recieved (aug 15th) a CRTC license for a Specialty Porn channel (satilite). they're mandate is 25% - 1 000 000$ on canadian content in the first year. need to get some more info on them .. this is all I got right now ...

Dude i read about it this morning .. when the last tier 2 licenses were given out, I ended up being the program director and producer. Too bad the owner was a dick. and filled his Canadian content requirement (very low at the time) with recuts of Peter north movies. I wanted no part of it.
So far i read this guy is wiling to spend 1 000 000$ over the next year on New production ... I gotta get in on this one ;P

yah I found all that too ... Looks like thats about as close as I can get I got an address, a name and an email.... not bad for 10 minutes :P

Already answered on the other place, Sherwood park is kinda part of Edmonton, was 20 mins from where I was living when in town. That is all the info I have.

You might have to use your marketing/sales skills and give them a call.

cool ..Magnus the key word was Jake! I got everything i need . even a cell phone number .. name of partner and what he's done in the past .. doesn't look very good .. I got alot of bad feed back on this guy ... but it's from years ago .. seems to be when he was collecting his content .. he was cheap and owes small amounts ... it also looks like all he's got a amature content and will need new production .. Looks like buddy is getting a call from Vid Vicious .. hee hee ...

yeah you can see thier pages have the Presidents name and some articles list the "marketing" chicca. Just call em and they will point you in the right direction.

I would imagine they would have a big crop of un shot talent in that city.. lots of blondes there.

OK ...Jake Sweet here .. and.. well after a long discussion with my very good friend Vid .. I felt I should share some of my thoughts ..

Real Productions ..the holders of "said" CRTC license for an adult content based channel, I am afraid to say a bunch of twits ..
the company has been around for years and used to get their content by asking guys to go out and shoot for them .. submit the content and they would reap the rewards of millions from their DVD sales .. well I personally know of 1 guy .. their actual head videographer who submitted an entire series waited years and made from what I was told by him a grand total of $60 .. they did come and shoot at our studios years ago with a model for a series called "make me a porn star" in which I was asked to perform with said model .. and still till this day haven't been paid for my time .. a measly $500

NON of the content on their sites has anything what so ever to do with me at all and I have no business dealing with real productions .. I have persoanl grips with them and would not recommend them to anyone ..
If he was to send me my $500 and kiss my ass I might allow them to cut my grass ... (we've had a hot summer so it is really growing) .. their content is well below average at best and they have short changed models across the country in the name of fame ... becareful to anyone having any dealing with them ..
not sure where he came up with the 1Mill for content But I am sure it will be either through someone he sucked in or someone he sucks in ...

thanks for this info Jake ... I finally did get intouch with him .. he spoke to me of his crtc mandate and that he'd be ready to start dealing in Mid 09 .. However they still haven't gotten a Broadcasters promise to air, as of my phone call today

Vid, if they can get this done, I think you could get the same deal done and 100000% better. You have so much experience in the TV/Video production biz it's not even funny. Do it.. do it do it now.

it takes at least 100 000$ to build a crtc Digital tier 2 proposal ... you also ned to have title library with broadcast rights, I'd figure at least 5000 titles to be a contender in the 24/7 digi broadcast
