You know DOGS well? What dog is..
What kind of breed is the The black/ white dog in the music video with Nelly Furtado.. The song is "man eater" I think..
and do you know how these dogs are.. ?
Do they move alot, require alot of exercise? agressive, or nice ones? Good among children? How do they work together with other dogs and cats?
Thanks in advance.. :-)

The song sucks but I watched the video because I'm a dog lover and the black & white dog is a Great Dane.
If you wanna know more about them, go there: http://www.akc.org/breeds/great_dane/index.cfm
I have met a couple great danes and they all all goofballs. I am a rare breed owner myself (greyhounds - rare in Canada) and I strongly suggest that you read about them before getting one. Especially a Great Dane. These things are HUGE!!!
I forgot to add... There are many different colours and patterns in this breed... http://www.6stardanes.com/colors.html
Let me know what happens!
Sophie.

Peter, what happened to your dog? Or are you looking for a second pooch? I still think my dog Tiki is a killer!

like was said, those dogs are HUGE so be sure to make sure you get as much info about them as possible up front. Even find somewhere that you can go and spend some time with a few of them before going any further. Some dog breeds are strange in the fact that there are just some people they wont get along with personality wise no matter how nice the human and/or dog may be.

That's great advice! Spending time with great danes would be the best way to find out if you like them. Also, make sure they are full grown adults so you'll see how big they get and if you like it.
One of mine is only 80lbs but he is very tall (it's a greyhound) and many people are shocked at how big they are and how tall they are. Once, someone was looking for a greyhound and saw mine. They changed their minds!
So... good luck!
Sophie.
Here's a picture from this winter. We took it as a joke because someone wanted to see my house... But I'm with the boys... A whippet and a greyhound. You can see he's tall... And I'm not short! I'm 5'7.!

A whippet would be great for you. They are small but strong dogs, they are active, they are funy as hell and they love people.
My whippet is a little clown. He will go visit any human that pays attention to him, he LOOOVES children, he kisses them and wants to play with them, but at the same time, he is very patient and docile.
There are hundreds of great breeds out there. Make sure you choose a good breeder who can tell you where the parents come from, their temper and mood.
Sophie.

Great Danes are aptly named. They are indeed great in the true sense of the word. Big dogs.

"they dont live very long"?
What does that mean.. How many years is the average for Great Danes?

Life Span:
Due to his massive size, the Great Danes life span averages 7-10 years. There have been many cases of this dog reaching to age 12 up to 15 years old.
All the great danes I have known in my life did not make it past 8 years, which is very sad, they are great dogs.....

Please don't ever get a pet because you saw it on some
hit TV show, movie, or in a music video.
