Heading down to vote after work today as are all of my staff
There are a lot of big issues on the Nevada ballot, including a new smoking ordinance that could impact smaller casinos.

It doesn't affect the bigger casinos with unrestricted gaming licenses (allows for table games) but will affect the smaller places with restricted gaming licenses (no table games).
There's also a marijuana legalization intiative on the ballot again, but the mormons will probably turn out in droves like last time and shoot it down (I would love to have all those potential tax dollars pumped back into the local economy)
Then there's the emminent domain measure...
a lot of important local issues...

What is it like voting in the USA?
Here it depends on your voting station. Some of them are easy and heck. Walk in, vote, and walk out in under 5 minutes.
Some other stations, you'd think you were voting in a 3rd world country. Disorganized with long lineups.
Luckily where I live, it's usually quite organized and quick.

Depends where you live. I voted already, it was at an elementary school, and it took 5 minutes and wasn't crowded at all. One of the benefits of working from home, lol, I picked an off peak time to go.

Marijuana legalization... There was a recent poll here in Canada and 47% of Canadians said it should be legalized!

It's amazing how relevant American politics are to everyone else in the world, since just about everyone else in the world is impacted by US policies. Oh, if the world could vote too...
