How far will they go?!?
I was getting some information on a new allergy medication my doctor prescribed... And I was shocked to see all these new sites offering Benzodiazepine, Methylphenidate (Ritalin) and other meds with no prescriptions!!! Isn't this just awful?!?
Before you know it, I'll be ordering my crack and heroine off one of those websites...lol How far are people willing to go to make money?!?!?!?!
Check it out for yourself

FB, there are many reasons why someone may want to pick up a drug without a prescription. What if you can't afford to go to a doctor for a new prescription? What if you have no insurance? No doctor? What if your family doctor doesn't agree with you about what you need, and your doctor won't write a prescription for a particular drug? What if you want to keep your drugs private?
If you are willing to buy drugs on the internet and pay 2 or 3 times more, then why shouldn't you have the right to do it?????
It's my body, not yours! Being that I believe illegal drugs should be legalized, and being that I think we should be able to put into our bodies what we choose without having to answer to people like you who are making snap judgments, then WHY NOT!

You make a good point, but I still find it dangerous...There's a reason a prescription is needed. You need to be followed closely when on some of those meds...
BTW, welcome to Xnations!

Thank you. Nice board! Beautiful baby.
Studies have shown (statistics & studies show whatever you want to be shown) that over-the-counter drugs like aspirin and motrin cause more medical problems than prescribed drugs. From my own personal experience, I see friends and family having major problems with just these two pills. Drugs are known for curing one problem and giving you another. Doctors don't know enough about the medicine they prescribe, and doctors as a group have never known enough about nutrition.
One thing I do dislike about the *buy your meds here* websites is that they are spamming the hell out of my email. I heard a radio talkshow personality on the local KFI AM station say today that it is safe to buy prescribed drugs with a legitimate prescription from Canada, but not so safe from Mexico. US citizens are being forced to go to Canada or use mailorder to purchase drugs from Canada because of the savings. Many elderly US citizens are in a position where they must choose between food and drugs. Terrible thing!

Then you properly don't need that drug ! There is a reason he is an MD

and your doc can't know about it ... then I would say you are borderlining abuse...[/
I hear all that stuff with your body and you can do with it as you please... But some precription drugs are dangerous. (especialy when you mix 'em) and the sideaffects can be anything from a light tremble on your hands till cardicarrest...
If ppl wanna kill them self fine with me, but it will go a lot faster with a gun...then dying from kidney failure !
just my 2 cent

web mistress, have you ever gone to a doctor who almost killed you because of his lack of knowledge? Well, I have. We can't depend upon a doctor these days. We have to know and own our bodies.
There are so many people in this world who don't know a damn thing about their bodies. Maybe this group needs a doctor to make all the decisions. I will make my final decisions regarding myself.
What if you decide you want to die. Isn't that your right? What if you want to go to the internet and order a large amount of drugs which you plan to use in your suicide. You know that your doctor will not give you more than a limited prescription for the Type 3 drugs like valium, xanax, etc. So you stock up.
For the average guy, go see your doctor and go through the channels. For those who are a bit on the unorthodox side, did what you please.

I argee with you on that whole knowing your body and all... But I also happen to trust my doc 100%...
I will let you in on some personal stuff in my life... I have been sick for the past 2 years now... I'm at this time taking 5 different percription drugs... My background profession is health care..... I know my body and I know about meds...
With my background I also know that mixing different percription drugs can kill...I have seen it with my own eyes and it's not a pretty sight... If the whole purpose with on-line meds is sucide...then the more reason to close those biz down...
I'm not saying ppl don't have the right to take their own life... That is up to that person... all I'm saying is ppl selling type 3 meds over the internet, properly don't have a fucking clue who they are selling 'em to.. What if that person were your 16 year old daugther ??

webmistress, I use to put doctors on pedestals. I thought they had all the answers. Two of my doctors in the last ten years have lost their licenses to practice medicine in California.
I have also seen doctors perform miracles. I watched a show tonight on NBC about Jane Doe One who survived 9/11. One doctor refused to cut off both her legs because he looked at her face and realized that this young woman was going to have to suffer enough hell with all her injuries to turn around and lose her legs. She survived and is walking. She was and is on heavy duty pain pills. I would love to have the doctors and the nurses she has.
If I had a daughter, and she decided to order drugs w/o a prescription from the internet, it would be her decision. Some of us know more than our doctors do about drugs. WM, each case must be examined separately and individually.
I ordered drugs from the internet which came from India. They asked for no prescription. I was curious what I would receive and how long it would take. My order was placed on a pornsite. It took one month, and the cost was $150. I would have been charged about $40 from my pharmacy. My doctor died. I am looking for a new doctor. You would think that in Los Angeles, you could find the best. Nobody liked their doctors enough to give me a referral. I knew what drug I wanted, and I took a chance. My decision! My risk! My life!

i've got the easy cure for this one. i just don't go to the doctor. that way he can't incorrectly prescribe anything to me.
aside from the occasional claritin or chortimatron, about all i use is aleve.

I just read your comments again, WM. If I had a daughter who was only 16, I would make sure she was going to a doctor who could give her the proper drugs.
Taking several drugs each day many times results in a patient having major problems. I have a nephew who is manic depressive. His doctors are still trying to find the right combination for him. I'm not suggesting that buying drugs w/o a prescription on the internet is for everyone. It worked for me.
I hope you are feeling better. People who work in the health industry deserve a pat on the back plus higher salaries.

I don't put my doc on a pedestal, but I do belive he knows what he is doing..and I trust him 100% with my life...
You are very right...your life, your risk, your decision !
Do you think that lovesick 16 year old, will think of the outcome when she orders meds on-line..
I can give you many cases og very young ppl buying on-line meds, for the sole purpose of killing them self..
A 16 year old girl took painkillers.. It didn't kill her right away..it took her 8 weeks to die, as her internal organs slowly set out..and the doctors couldn't do anything
a 12 year old boy.. locked up today in a mental institution..he is deaply psysotic, from taking non administred percription drugs..
I have seen ppl take their own life wtih percription drugs, laying there in their own S***for hours befor they die..
It's not like these biz ask for pic id when they ship the crap out... so I guess what I'm saying is... It's out there and it's killing ppl, and some ppl think that is fine..I don't

Well I'm doing fine.... thanks for asking
And the doctors are still trying to figur out what is wrong with me... Kinda miss work though
Well if a 16 year old is going to kill her self...I sure she wont go "hey dad..will you take me to the doc so I can get some valium so I can kill myself!"
and the rest...it's all in the other post I made

I try to take as little drugs as possible... if I have a headache I go sleeping... if I'm not feeling well I stay in bed... the last time I had any drugs was 1 1/2 years ago. I had a serious cold but I needed to take some exams at college...

webmistress, if we take away the internet and mailorder and everyone must go to a doctor to get drugs, we still have thousands of people taking their lives. Not all of the young people who took their lives and shot and killed kids at their schools were on drugs. They were just angry confused teenagers who needed some love & therapy.
Some doctors don't know what they are doing and give you the wrong drugs. I think the statistics show that more people commit suicide using prescribed drugs than any random number of teenagers who bother to seek out drugs on the internet.
Damn, this subject is depressing me!
I need some tea, a funny movie, and a sunny day. Happy Holiday to everyone.

If someone wants to die, they will find a way as sad as that may be.
I do agree that there are few good, knowledgable and trustworthy docs around these days. My mother has had a list of docs, specialists, procedures and meds that would fill the state of Texas. She has only now, after 16 years, gotten a fairly accurate diagnosis of her problems and is properly medicated for them.
When the doc prescribes something new, she reseaches it and makes the decision to take or not considering the side effects and effects of what she is already taking. A majority of the time, she never takes it & tells the doc he was a quack for prescribing. He also tries to refuse the meds she's been on for a while & allowing her to function. She promptly nips that in the bud.
So, it is about knowing your body, the quack you are dealing with and using your knowledge to save your own ass.
I don't necessarily see a good in online drug buying...more accessibility for the abuser. But, I guess it can serve a good purpose if not abused.
