Who misses the nineties
Now no one tell me they were in diapers or weren't born yet ok? I am trying to find something good to say about the nineties other than the internet came along and we all started making money like it was the eighties again. But that took 8 years to happen. The cars got much cooler but the music tanked.

The 90's were ok. Some of the music was pretty good in the 90's,even though a lot of it was depressing. "Gangsta" rap hit mainstream. Seattle grunge bands were gaining recognition. MTV aired more shows and less videos. The hairstyles and clothes are way more toned down and more revealing than in the 80's. In the 80's it was cool to pierce your ears multiple times. In the 90's, it became cool to pierce everything else. People saw the rise and fall of dot com millionaires. The 'Net became more developed and more mainstream, thus changing our lives forever.
I had fun in the 90's also, but the decade didn't carry the care free attitude of the 80's.

I gotta go with you on the 80's thing... I just loved the 80's!!! It was fun, not a care in the world and nobody really cared what you did or who you did it to or with.

There's progress made in every decade. It's all just a matter of perspective. It could be political, social, science & technologies, personal, or economical. What fails or seems to come to a stand still or decrease in one area, you could see advancement in another area. Some years we advanced well in technologies, other years we advanced economically.

The 90's was the best for me musically. I was ina band for serveral years and musical infleunce flowed like beer.
I love how flannel sleavless shirts were on Paris runways and "in style" LOL

I wonder what the 90s will be remembered for most in say, 20 years from now?
Right now I know that the 90s brought us a whole new kind of music to the mainstream.

That they definitely did.
We saw a lot of new techniques being developed, old ones being improved upon, and implemented as far as special effects and animations in movies too.

For me the 90's was about music finding an evolution again, hair bands were out, at least ones that teased their hair up. Grunge, though depressing and self indulgent at times, did lead to where we are today
there was the return of a new electronika in bands like chemical bros and crytal method as well as the harsh growth of bands like Depeche mode
The 90's were my coming into adult hood years. I went from a young punk to an older punk, i discovered the internet and I discovered porn!

I loved the 90's. E! channel has been doing a countdown series the past few days "101 Reasons the 90's Ruled" It's actually been quite entertaining.
