Update From Paul Markham:

Thank you every one. Just sent this to another friend who may post it as well.
Eva is heavily sedated and the hospital plan to keep her this way for another day and might wake her tomorrow to assess how she is..
She was involved in a bad accident on the motorway, her car turned over and went down the road on the roof.
Eva had multiple vertebra fractures, injuries to her head, spine, spinal cord, lungs, liver and abdomen. She lost a lot of blood. They operated on her 2.00 am Sunday and again in the afternoon.
They will not tell me exactly what the prognosis is but they do sound positive when talking to me. The brain scan showed normal and no damage. The real worry is her spine and spinal cord.
I saw her yesterday and she is in the Traumatology ward, on assisted breathing and connected to monitors. It was the worse moment of my life to see her like that.
I will see her today.
My brother flew here to look after me. I will go to work today to speak to the staff and let them know the situation, they all know. My ICQ and emails are being answered.
