Smile Discover A Different Side Of Italy In MySardinia.com

Hello! I know what I'm pimping isn't exactly adult-oriented but its producers are from the industry.

We are promoting a travel site that debuts tomorrow. I am inviting you guys to come on over and contribute stories if you've been to Sardinia.

================

Sardinia is one part of Italy that has been one of those "off the beaten track" kinds of tourist destinations. Superceded by the glamour of the mainland, this laid back part of Italy has often been overlooked and pushed to the sidelines. Now things are about to change when MySardinia.com launches on July 8, 2009.

Travel sites are a dime a dozen in the internet but as MySardinia.com finally goes live, the site separates itself from the clutter with personal views from people who have actually lived and gone there. As MySardinia.com launches today, web surfers can now picture the savage beauty of Sardinia. No travel doublespeak. No whitewashed or prettified details.

MySardinia.com offers free and useful information - even those that are privy to the natives -- for people taking an interest in the island. Besides many entries that describe the many facets of the island, the MySardinian Experience feature will showcase real people reminiscing about their trip. The site will also show exclusive footage from the visitors themselves. The Sardinian Cultural Office has even granted the producers access to
their video archives.

New features will soon follow after the launch. The message board component will be added for discussions. An interactive map of Sardinia keyed in to various entries in the site will soon be uploaded for easy referencing.

MySardinia.com prides itself to be a depository of artists' works. Local and expatriate Sardinian musicians, dancers, singers and other performance artists will showcase their work onsite. Sardinian-inspired Works from photographers and painters will also be a regular fare. By November, the site will also promote a silent film about Sardinia that will be in competition in the Berlinale Film Festival in Berlin and Sardinian Film Festival in Cadenas, Italy in 2010.

The site is produced by translation guru Moreno Aguiari, seasoned videographer Federico Falchi and travel blogger Doy Ariola. For advertising and link trades opportunities, email the producers at mysardinia.com@gmail.com. Photographers, artists and musicians (professional and amateurs) looking for exposure are welcome to contribute their Sardinian-flavored works. The producers are also looking for personal stories on people who have visited Sardinia.

Discover a different side of Italy. Discover Sardinia. Visit MySardinia.com on July 8, 2009.
