Man drives home with his headless friend

"... a woman hit a homeless guy with her windshield in an accident, drove home, parked her car in the garage and went to bed? ..."

That incident was showcased on one of the L&O Series. I remember it well, but they threw in another twist beyond the secretary who had hit the guy.

I cannot imagine driving so intoxicated that I would not notice my friend hangin out the window and losing his head!
