I can now think of my husband as "exotic" when he eats his Spam...which will be a very nice replacement for the other things I thought.
Of course, the man is Slovak and grew up eating things that are...blech.... The worst was "slalinya," which may be misspelled, but the food product is...boiled bacon. I also ate his grandmothers "egg cheese" and could barely keep it down. Luckily, the woman sat down with a bottle of whiskey and we had "Nostroviya!" toasts until I was totally soused first.
