I'm just curious...I've had a few people pitch me this idea. Would any of you guys even bother listening?!? Hell I could have my own sex show (kinda like Howard Stern) LMAO!!!! No, serious give me your honest thougts!  |

Well, first of all it would be a great way to discuss day to day issues, Wembmaster news, suggestions, new programs as well as a great way for people to introcuce themselves. Also an extra exposure for the current sponsors of Xnations! I'd like this show to be fun and infomartive! |

I say to go for it as well. Why not give it a try? If no go, then just don't bother anymore... right? Worse that could happen is that it just doesn't fly right?
Besides... and I say this completely honestly.... on any other board, I'd say don't bother. People aren't really interested on other boards. You see a few people here and there get to a radio chat room "when ever they happen to make it"
Where as XNations.... these member dominate. When you go to Twinkley's or YNotBob's radio shows... you can see a lot of XNations people. And that makes all the difference.

I'll listen if the show is worth my time tuning in. Have fun, but with some kind of structure. Variety of guests from all areas of the industry and world. Sometimes interviews. Sometimes debates. Have a variety of topics. Sponsors, tutorials, questions & answers, contests, recognize an "unknown", sponsor - software- script - site reviews...
I think if you do have an option to have text chat, you should turn it off during the presentation for " mods only " to use to post a url or email address. Too many times I've listened to presentations where the text was running full blast. I caught myself reading the text and responding and not really hearing what was actually going on. The speaker was lost in the background.
Have it so that if someone can not attend because of time zones, day of the week, or some reason, they can still either hear the playback or be able to read a transcript.
Use the board or another medium to get feedback from the audience. Ask them what they want. Answer questions they may have. Things like that.

I listen to the YNOT show on Wednesdays and sometimes Twinkly's show on Fridays when I'm not busy. However, these shows can quickly eat up my time....... I'd be supportive, but can't promise I'd listen every week......

I'm thinking topics that may seem peripheral at first but must make a difference to the average webmaster who is working in isolation at his computer 18 hours a day and only comes out of the house for groceries and conventions and needs to feel connected more and have topics that reach their circumstance. For instance, a show with a panel or expert about what webmasters can do for health insurance, how to fit exercise into their day, how to cover your ass and issues with income tax...something that impacts us all and will resonate with webmasters peripheral concerns.
