Summer concerts
Hey what summer concerts or festivals are coming to where you live?
I used to go to the punk festival every year here in Montreal.
This year Steph and I are only going to a couple concerts. Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters.

Ahh man, Foo Fighters sounds like a great show! Pearl Jam, I didn't like any other album except the first one. None of it had the same feel and emotion that they were able to get in the first one I find. I didn't hear all their other songs, but I heard a few and found them weak.

I've seen the Foo Fighters every time they have been to Montreal. First time was at Foufounes Electriques in August of 95 with their original drummer and Pat Smear on guitar.
True that Pearl Jam has lost a lot of what they had from their first couple of releases, but I still like them a lot.

Actually I haven't been to a concert since I saw The Stones Voodoo Lounge tour show in commonwealth stadium in Edmonton. I should start checking that shit out now that I live in a city where you don't have to drive 250 kilometres to see a concert.

FB and I caught them at Theatre St-Denis a few months ago. They still got it. I doubt we'll make it up north for that show though. |

Lets see . . . I will be heading to TN for Bonnaroo Music Festival . . . http://www.bonnaroo.com
Couple other shows that will be hot:
Ben Harper & Jack Johnson down in Berkeley CA (they are coming to Vegas as well . . . but Berk is like home territory for Ben)
Alkaline Trio is touring . . . a good show always
Couple weeks back we have a big concert here in Vegas, headlining it was Social D, Deftones, Taproot, and about 6 more mainstream rock bands . . . it was fun. |

Ya know, I live in TN and didn't know a thing about that festival.
I catch local acts almost weekly. As for national acts, I had to missed Godsmack because it was smack in the middle of the work week, I will go to the Saliva show on the 18th (work week or not!!) and 3Doors Down is slated to hit Knoxville in July. My calendar is shaping up nicely. |
