At least Kim's ineptness did not cost his team the entire series.

I am not a Red Sox fan, but the Bill Buckner error in game six the 1986 world series comes to mind.

I understand the Red Sox fans get emotional just hearing about it or seeing it.

It has been a while, but as I recall Boston was ahead and could have won the series with a victory that night. An easy grounder went right under his glove. The Mets scored the game winning run on that play and later won the series.
