The reason I ask is that some sites can take months to list submissions if at all, so in that regard you'd have to wait a long time before deciding to keep a site in your list or removing it.

Keywords searched from SE's can point you in the right direction on which sites to start monitoring. Before you spend money.
Reseach the sites. Anything that is made public for you, try to take note of it and apply to a cross over chart. There is a breakeven point in everything you do.
It's the only way. I stick close to what I
know and think I do okay for the hours I spend online.
