DigiCam / St. Gallen --> Mainly for EvilChris!
I finally bought now a DigiCam (a Olympus C50Z) and I have taken this morning on the way to work a few pics of the city center of St. Gallen.
I'm not a pro photographer but it should give you some impression of the city.
Pic 1-4 are the dome and the monastery in St. Gallen. Pic 2 is the side entrance to the dome!

P.S.: I got the cam just yesterday and haven't even had a closer look at the manual yet. I tried some different pre-set modes that's why some pics may look a bit funny... I also need to pay more attention to shadows and contrasts!

The cam is great... pics uncompressed are about 2MB so with my 256MB card I can take like 120 pics with 5MegaBit uncompressed! That's kinda cool... haven't tried the 16 seconds short movies yet!

Stephan, I just had a closer look at all the pics you've taken. Very nice indeed. I'm sure your camera is awesome, but I'm a little more interested in the actual photos.
Stephanie and I really need to visit Switzerland sometime!

Trust me and I'm sure from the pics you got a good idea what a nice place it is, but DEFINETLY go if you ever get the chance aftre the bundle of joy arrives. Was there in 96 doing the touring of europe thing with fiends and we were in switzerland. Town called Interlokken. KICK ASS time we had. Course them younger days stying in youth hostels with people from all over. Met all kinds from everywhere and did some GRAT rafting and canoying (though I think he last Iheard canyoning had stopepd or seomthing. unless the re-tarted agaoin)
But the whole country is beautiful. Train rid eup the mountains and all. GREAT VIEW!!
A must if you wanna viisit Europe.

Here are some more which I made this morning:
The first ones are inside the dome and the others were taken at 3-Weiher (a nice spot in summer and winter to hang around. It's located on the southern hills. St. Gallen is located in a valley. On the nothern hills (Rotmonten and Rosenberg) you can see the college!
Anyway, here's the link:

I also made a 16" quicktime movie with the cam (had to test it):

I also cut down the size to better view them in the browser!

Wow, more gorgeous pictures...
Thanks for creating those galleries, wsjb78!
BuggyG... I've been to Interlaken! In 1989, I drove down there for a couple of days. I lived just a few hours north in south west Germany.
Yes I agree, it's gorgeous. I decided NOT to climb to the top of the Jungfrau, though. LOL

New Pics
Hiya,
been in the military and took also some pics. Here are they, it's just a bunch of pics of my buddies there and the region around Aigle and Bex / Switzerland. At the end you see pics I've taken this morning in the train on the way from Bex to Montreux to Lausanne! I know I look pretty much tired on the pics... Gee, I hate when others take pics of me!!!

More pics....
Hiya Chris,
here are some more pics:
http://wsjb78.com/fotos/2003_04_23-Bruxelles/
I took those while I was in Bruxelles however I was busy doing other things than just taking pics so there aren't all too many of those!

That's my mom's house. Just about 5km outside Solothurn. It's quiet there.
