I have no idea what Symantec is on about though. XNations doesn't harbour any kind of adware or adware virus.

I don't know about those other guys though!

The Removal Tools for Virii and Worms they provide are great.. but NAV per se just really sux....

I wouldn't worry too much about it

But why are all those particular sites listed there?
I'm quite sure none of them are spreading any adware virus. I know xnations isn't.

Well, maybe it's a governmental plot to discredit the industry even more...

Too many nOObs believe NAV is the best antiviral tool out there so if Symantec lists like adult boards on their site people may think virii and worms and spyware is spread throught those boards and hence throughout the adult industry with the only aim to rip people off their cash by making injustified cc-billings!

Just a thought!

Yeah, exactly... if I was gonna stick adware onto thousands of people's computers.... it would go to a porn site where I might make some money.

Sending joe blow to XNations doesn't do much for me really.

It seems that the sites listed are sites that are in the popups NOT sites spreading the adware.

It really is kind of bizarre that there are popups for a bunch of webmaster boards though. Very few of the boards make much use of the referrals unless there is a contest and some don't even have referrals that I know of. And popping up freeBSD and Redhat? Is it some webmaster type that loves whoring and hates MS?
