Attention Xnations members!

It's been brought to my attention that a few of you (more than 10) have been contacted via ICQ as spam to join another board. I'd like to confirm that xnations had NOTHING to do with this! This will NOT be tolerated and I ask that you come fwd with this info.

Board promo is one thing if done properly, but joining another bbs to grab info on people who post just to refer them to another bbs (for the purposes of winning a contest) is outright LAME.

XNations rolls along on it's own now quite well, however when FB and I first opened it, we spent a lot of funds on advertising it. We didn't spam people we didn't know to get them to join.

Gunner brought me here me thinks, or Shemp. One of those cool people. And then I met Chris in Vegas and I thought he was someone else and felt like an ass ever since! I was drunk or something, but Chris rolled with it.

This thread makes me want to dig out my old game Fallout II and play it again.... in it there is an "easter egg" where about 50 warriors attack and kill a spammer

I would like anyone that SAID " I added them to my icq and spoke with me and said you had no idea who I was" to please icq me or e-mail. According to this post you already have my icq lol... I would like to resolve this asap. I joined this board 2 months ago posted one hello and don't think I even came back after that till yesterday..

I was going to stay out of this but I have wasted 2 days with my clients and friend writting and I have no answers to give them besifed the fact I KNOW 100% this never happend !! And I have to much work to do and to much in my company to have this happen to me... Having my company name slandered is something I'm not taking lightly AT ALL.. thanks for your time and for fun funbrunette trying to help me resolve this issue

No matter what people do when trying to win a contest or get traffic to a new board, if it's just for that purpose, they will likely not return.

The Xnations community is better, though. We enjoy being here, enjoying the resources here, collaborating and making deals with the excellent people here.

I really enjoy being here.

hi

i got hit this week on ICQ to join another board to win a contest but didn't think he was spaming as i have him on my ICQ list and he asked for a favor.
if its the person that did it to me i am pretty shocked as i didn't expect it from him.
who ever it was it's pretty lame espically to win a contest and i hope they don't win the contest just for spite.
