Not sure if Canada honors Veterans Day. In the US we celebrate Veterans of all wars, as well as those who have served in the military.
Last night while watching TV I ended up on the History channel and I watched a show about the Dieppe Raid. The raid itself is a considered a failure, but it greatly assisted in the planning for D-Day.
Over 6,000 infantrymen, predominantly Canadian, were supported by large British naval and Allied air force contingents.
Special thanks to Canada for making sure I didn't grow up speaking German!
