Search Engines mess with our heads

For a couple weeks at the end of last month I was happy to see that a handful pages I made were making it #2 and #3 on Google searches, and it was paying off nicely for me.

Then for seemingly no reason the floor got pulled out from under me and they all ended up not 2 or 3, but on pages 2 or 3 instead. No more conversions.

Then suddenly yesterday they're all back up again. Google is playing mind games with me.

Well in August it will be an new update and now everything is confuse.
In fact Yahoo! an MSN have done the same.

The search engines send out their crawler every couple of weeks. This will naturally change your listings a bit as the engines find new sites or lower the ranking on existing ones.

However, ever 3-4 months the engines update their algorithms and everything tends to get turned on its head. Yahoo Just recently had an algo update but all in all if you have good SEO your sites will need some adjustment to get back on top after these changes.
