WHAT'S THE GO WITH SEO? Part 3

Everyone wants to get a lot of traffic. But would you rather get 10000 hits and convert at 1:2000 or get 100 hits and convert at 1:10 ? Do the math. Getting a top ranking for a keyword that is searched 100 times a month surely may not be as valuable as one searched 1000's of times, but if filtered correctly, smaller MAY be better.

This leads to the obvious = do NOT be afraid of getting low-volume rankings, but do NOT ignore the high-volume either. Seek balance. The low-volume keywords will produce significant traffic collectively and can be used as the platform for achieving rankings on the higher-volume listings. At the end of the day it's all about relevance, cost of traffic and conversions.

The position you get in the search results matters, no question. A front page listing anywhere is worth a lot of traffic. Statistically very few people click past the third page in their search results and if they have not found what they are looking for, they go back and refine their search. In fact, a great majority don't even click past that first page. This makes first page search results prime real estate. What is more, a good number of searchers would have already found what they are looking for at the top of the first page and so they will never see the "below the fold" listings. This is why everybody wants to be #1!

Keep an eye open for next weeks update as this article continues!

2257 information

On March 30, U.S. District Court Judge Walker D. Miller handed down a decision on the Motion for Summary Judgment filed by Free Speech Coalition in its lawsuit against Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and the Record keeping and labelling Law, 18 U.S.C. §2257, and the regulations drawn up by Gonzales for enforcement of the law.

One of the most important facets to be hammered out in this decision, is that so called "secondary producers" which when pertaining to the internet usually means the webmaster who has bought the content, does not need to keep private information of the girls. Rather that will be kept with the primary producer who can strike off social insurance numbers, home addresses and other information that shouldn't be given out to just anyone who buys a license. Secondary producers should make sure are buying from a legit company and that the year of birth is present on all of their 2257 information.

Of course look to a lawyer for a more strict interpretation.

The Phoenix Forum

What an outstanding job by all the sponsors, organizers and attendees. We couldn't have asked for a smoother, more productive few days in the desert. It's true, some of us just weren't built for the dry air, but we all did some great business and had a little fun too.

To those that made the time to come and participate in one of the best shows of the year, congrats and it was great seeing you! To those who didn't make it to this one, we'll hope to see you soon. Always let us know which shows you're headed to and if we're both headed there, we'll make time to talk and find new and even better ways to make money together.
