Default Intel announces new chip, $1M PC design competition

Intel Corp. Chief Executive Paul Otellini said Tuesday a new computer chip with four electronic brains will begin shipping in November as the company's heated battle continues with rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

The company also announced Tuesday up to $1 million in prizes for the designer and manufacturer who makes the "smallest and most stylish" home PC based on Intel technology.

Oh hell yeah! Especially with up to $700,000 up for grabs to get the product into production and advertising expenses, there's bound to be some pretty creative machines built.
