What to buy for Halloween.
Unlike all the other times that I just turn the lights off and sit in the dark pretending I'm not there while the kids ring my bell over and over driving me insane, I'm giving in and buying candy. What candy is popular with these little punks and how much do you usually spend?

The days of giving away fruit are over, bagel. LOL
You're going to have to give them what they want! Chips and chocolate bars!

Little piece of advice...Don't buy the candies and chocolate too early or you'll end up eating all of them before it's even Halloween

Now that we bought a house in the "nice" neighborhood, we gotta give out nicer candy (no more tootie rolls blech)
We are giving out reeses peanut butter cups, twix, nerds and bottlecaps...
I hope thats enough - there are a TON of kids in our neighborhood!

My thinking exactly reversed. If you give them the good stuff , next year you will have twice as many kids at your door. Tootsie Rolls is the way to go, they know not to come back next year , I'm also thinking of experimenting with Tuna.

LOL, tuna. We live in a 'bad' neighborhood, so we don't have to buy candy. In years past we would always buy a bunch of bags and have stomache aches for months to come cuz no on came by to get any. lol

When I was a kid my brother, friends and I would always bring 1 or 2 extra "props" for our costumes, like an extra cap, or a tuque. Since our candy bag was always a trash bag (you know the big darkgreen ones), it was easy to hide most of our costume at each we would go. So when we found a chocolate/chips house we would go more than once in a row without being recognized.
Poor other kids that had to eat the disgusting fruit flavored candies with no name on the wrapping !

When I was a kid, we would do the block in our neighborhood first (older, alone) then selected parents would take our group out to the "good" neighborhoods with the big houses that gave out the GOOD candy. Full sized candy bars, snack sized at worst, but more than one, never those nasty fruit candies, or even worse the black and orange ones....
Gift Certificates, money (real money, like $1!) and more....
Well, we are (movin on up) and I dont want to be the bitch on the block thats giving out shitty candy! I would much rather have 100 kids at my door next halloween cause I am known as the lady that "gives out a ton of candy bars man!"
hehehee

Hahhaha--OMG, I can't believe how OLD most of you are!!! Hahahahaha
For the most part, unless the Treat is TOTAL WOWZO, then most kids don't remember from one year to the next who gave out snickers and who gave out tootsie rolls. It's all in the fun of just going door-to-door. Also, I prefer to give out the Good Candy, not because of where I live, but because I would like to Receive Good Candy if I was doing the trick-or-treating. LOL
They're kids guys! Hhahahaha Don't hide in your front room and pretend you're not home, don't give them Tuna (okay, that's actually funny enough to work--so you can if you want to) but now's your chance to have fun with the kids in your hood. And even if you DON'T want to have fun with them, you can surely Fuck with them by scaring the crap outta them when they come to the door!!
Hahahhaha--Help Stop the OLD Fuddy-Duddys! Dress Up, Be a kid, and give out good candy!!! Hahhahahahahaha
Huggs!
Lady Sharlot :-)
Who's off to buy Snickers, Reeces, KitKats, Herseys, and all of the other candy that I like! :-))

Damn! I gotta go and get some pumpkins and some candy! I am so last minute it isn't even funny, you should see me at Christmas YIKES!
You gotta have the good candy, chocolate and chips stuff like that. Getting shitty candy sucks, besides I want the left overs hehe, not that I need it, but a little chocolate does a body good
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
