Obscenity Laws?

Hi folks,

A question about obscenity laws here. If my client hosts their web-cam studio overseas (say, for example, in Romania), which obscenity laws do they have to comply with? What else would they have to keep in mind?

where does your client live? and where do they bank?
where does the money go

basically, if you are worrying about this, you should worry...

Ah, good question. He is in Nevada. Although, I'm not sure where he banks. Does it matter?

I should worry, really? It just kind of came up as trivia in conversation. I don't think he's trying to get away with obscenity, I think he's just a newbie and needs to know which lines not to cross ... I hope.

He needs to consult with an attorney. If the webcam studio operates out of a foreign country, he should consult with an attorney in that country as well.

I am not giving legal advice, rather just practical advice based upon being in this Industry for over 10 years, and from dealing with lawyers and the govt...

if your client lives in Reno...is doing something considered *obscene*...it really doesnt matter where he is hosted...

he is fucked
its the US GOVT

just dont do it...
