Robert.... someone whacked out of their mind and angry at the world living in a country that loves firearms and has a government that supports the gun lobby.... is not a good situation.

It may not stop them, but it sure does limit the incidents. Don't get me wrong it's not like nothing ever happens here in Canada, but with less access to gun it does make it difficult. If you look at the stats guns have a big part in deaths in the USA.
