Using those SAME numbers it's clear that my statement stands up and yours doesn't. I suggest you take a remedial math course somewhere.

21 teams played 80 games each and combined for 6530 goals. 84-85 team average per game? 3.88
2006-2007
30 teams played 82 games each and combined for 7264 goals. 06-07 team average per game? 2.95

If you went to a hockey game last year, guess what? You saw on average two FEWER goals per game than you would have in 1984. Not MORE goals. LESS.

Why are you contradicting yourself again? First you tell me that there were more goals scored in 06/07 than in 84/85, and then you say I would see fewer goals in a game last year?
