Depends on the girl, but I am not a fan of bald - I like women, not girls, and pubes indicate having gone through puberty. Bald sends an ugly message to my brain that squicks me out.
I have actually heard that before from a woman.
Personally, an 80s style bush doesn't bother me much but my preference is the landing strip or the little triangle.
