Strange in that I personally am not swayed either way by hair but the overall body and personality. Some women look great in short hair as example P!nk, Star Treks 7of9 and Stargate's Samantha Carter (oh god I am such a geek)

I prefer longer hair - Think the shorter hair looks like a man or lesbian.  SOME, and I say some females look good with short hair but they're few and far between

Oh, and I looooove men with long hair... My "guyfriend" (not my boyfriend yet but we see eachother, we love eachother... ) has long hair too. It's very curly so it looks a little below the shoulders but it is actually almost in the middle of his back.
I think it is very hot and sexy for a man who wears it well.
