				 Office or Home?
Do you work from an office or just at home?
I work out of the office everyday but still work when I'm at home too.

I work from home, but I think I'd prefer to work in an office...Less distractions! |

I agree, sounds like it would be nice to work from the home but I know I can get A LOT more done when I'm here at the office. No tv, no roommate, etc. |

Definitely an office. There is something motivating about being around 4-5 other people who are all working hard. And going into a 'job' allows (a little) separation between work/life.

 Both
Our entire staff used to work from home, and that caused a few productivity issues. The office is much better in terms of communication and getting things done, but I sure miss working in nothing but my boxers LOL. |

This is actually an ongoing debate in my office right now...
Half of us (including me) work in an office - 9-5 monday through friday. The other half telecommute from all across the country. As it stands there are only 4 of us now (used to be more) that come into the office daily and we all live closer to each other than the office.

The debate rages on whether or not we will be more productive/more cost effective working from our homes, or from an office closer to all our homes.

Being the boss, Oz wants us all within shouting distance - being well... us, we want to work from home ... in our boxers (or lack thereof)

I personally have never worked from home before and am slightly worried that i will not actually be able to focus on work the hours the boss wants us too.....

Guess we will see - I will keep ya posted!

Twinkley, speaking from experience i can honestly say that working from home is tough for many people, and although I thought working from home would increase productivity it did just the opposite .

If you are looking for "teamwork" to be an important part of your company it is very difficult to do with everyone working at home, no matter if you are all in the same chat room, on icq, netmeetings, or whatever.

Good luck though whatever you guys do! |

I worked at home for years and although I got distracted a bit, I made up for it by working longer hours.
Now I come to an office, get my 8 to 10 hours a day in, and go home. At home, I can get a little more work done if necessary, or I can forget about work completely and relax. I definitely like that better.

Over all, I do think I manage to get more done in the office.

Yeah, guys are actually probably worse that gals. Guys in the porn biz have a tendancy to get distracted and go on long masturbation stretches, sometimes lasting for two hours.
 Or is that just me?

 | HAHAHA! YEAH! Two hours is a long time though... the faster the better I say. If you're fast enough you can rub one out in the office before anybody suspects a thing. By the way, we're out of tissue |

 Yeah....
I guess i can see why the guys would be okay with it (both are programmers, dont really have contact with the outside world anyways)

Personally, I think i need to keep that distinction between my work and home life. I already uhhh date someone in the office *and live with him* - that makes things jumbled enough. I think i like the fact that at 5pm on friday, i know i dont have to work anymore if i dont want to.

I agree on the teamwork thing. Its good when you can all get together face to face and talk things over then go hammer them out. I think that would be a little more difficult if everyone was at home on their computers. But I still don't like waking up and getting to work for 9am...but hey, nothing I can do about that. I'm just not a morning person at all. |

I work from home, sometimes i wish i was in an office just a couple days a week, only in the winter though. When summer comes round I can tan and swim during work breaks, also great to have meetings on my deck and tan and drink coolers! LOL

 Self employed -
I sometimes miss working with a team though. And sometimes the client just doesn't get it. Who do I gripe to. GRUMBLE!

Although I'm so not a morning person, I'm usually getting going when everyone else is calling it a day. Plus being able to do other things during work hours can be great.

Well, I am just now starting a new job... a full time job in an office cutting up vids.
But then when back home, I'll be working a whole lot on SponsorsList.com so I kinda work at both.. office and home

i work from home..i find it allows me to be more productive, and allows me time to pursue things like the gym, or i can get my shopping done in the day if i am having guests over, i never turn on the television i listen to music though...the only drawback, is i tend to work 14-18 hour days more and more |
