Ron, you're right if you're saying that it's silly the way pro sports teams hire and fire GMs and coaches alike from year to year. However, I don't think it has anything to do with hockey in Canada. There isn't a big problem with hockey in Canada, is there?
Of the eight teams left in the quarter finals, three of them are Canadian teams. That's pretty good. It's half the Canadian teams in the whole of the NHL.
Don't confuse the hiring and firing of coaches or other staff to any sort of fiscal problems experienced by Canadian NHL teams. I don't know much about Burke, but Jacques Martin had his chance and it's time for Ottawa to move on to someone else.
