Vancouver is indeed a nice place, and I have visited a handful of times. What Stuart failed to mention however is that the cost of a house in Vancouver (and area) is about 4x and more of what you would pay for the same house in most cities in the rest of Canada. Vancouver is beautiful but expensive.
yeah, it's definitely more pricey here, for housing and food and just about everything. But it's worth it... well, for me. Not everyone is into the whole scenery thing and stuff. But most anyone who's ever come here wants to stay here.
