Shit happens. People are naturally prone to f'up and do stupid things. And sooner or later you will be disappointed in your choice of friends.
But it's still much better to leave yourself open to possible disappointment than it is to wear armour around your heart and avoid new friends just because of possible pain.
So have a drink or 2 and say fuck it. Then start looking forward to your next new friend!
For someone as good as you I'm sure it won't take long for that to happen!
