Your Favorite Quote(s)
In light of the new contest, and because I love insipirational and motivational quotes, I am going to see if I can get lots of responses of all your favorite quotes. Please post some. They do not have to all be inspirational of course. I'll start:
"Whether you believe you can, or whether you believe you can't, you're absolutely right." - Henry Ford

and last one for now. THIS one I know who said it. Originally Al Pacino as Tony Montana in Scarface (one of the GREATEST movies of all time. well for me personally). But I liked the way Homer says it in the episode he finds the over-turned sugar truck. And sounds good when he uses the spanish accent
"First you get the sugar
Then you get the power
THEN you get the WOMENNNNNNN!!!!!"
well that's it for now. Gonna try to rememebr some otehr ones if I can

Here's a trivia question:
"I am not an atomic playboy"
What's the history behind this quote? There are two different answers to this question, BTW.

"I am not an atomic playboy" is a line in one of Future Crew's demos
also a quote from Vice Admiral W.H.P. Blandy, Commander of Joint Task Force I at Operations Crossroads, Bikini Atoll (1946)

The full quote:
"The bomb will not start a chain-reaction in the water converting it all to gas and letting the ships on all the oceans drop down to the bottom. It will not blow out the bottom of the sea and let all the water run down the hole. It will not destroy gravity. I am not an atomic playboy, as one of my critics labeled me, exploding these bombs to satisfy my personal whim." - Vice Admiral W.H.P. Blandy, Commander Joint Task Force One, Operation Crossroads
The half story:
People thought the atomic bomb potentially could destory the entire solar system by creating a blackhole. The above quote quotes similar catastrophes only to a less devestating degree.

this one's good too..
Quote:
War cannot be avoided until the physical cause for its recurrence is removed and this, in the last analysis, is the vast extent of the planet on which we live. Only through annihilation of distance in every respect, as the conveyance of intelligence, transport of passengers and supplies and transmission of energy will conditions be brought about some day, insuring permanency of friendly relations. What we now want is closer contact and better understanding between individuals and communities all over the earth, and the elimination of egoism and pride which is always prone to plunge the world into primeval barbarism and strife... Peace can only come as a natural consequence of universal enlightenment...''
---Nikola Tesla(1919)
